What a Commercial Sign Maker Does
Sign making encompasses design, material fabrication, finishing, permit handling, and installation. Here is what we bring to each stage of the process. For a full overview of sign types, see our custom signage Ottawa hub.
Design & Proofing
Every sign project starts with a scaled technical drawing and visual rendering. You approve the design before fabrication begins — including exact dimensions, material specifications, colour values, and mounting method.
Aluminum Fabrication
Channel letters, cabinet signs, post and panel, flat-cut letters, and dimensional elements fabricated from commercial-grade aluminum. Finished with UV-stable powder coat or polyurethane paint for Ottawa's outdoor conditions.
Vinyl Printing & Application
Large-format digital printing on commercial cast vinyl, cut vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, window films, and wall murals. Cast vinyl for outdoor applications — dimensionally stable and rated for 5–7 years with UV-stable laminate.
LED Illumination
Commercial-grade LED modules and power supplies specified for illuminated signs. LED modules rated for 50,000 hours of operation. Power supplies selected for Ottawa's temperature range and installed with weatherproof connections.
Permit Applications
Sign permit drawings prepared and submitted to the City of Ottawa or relevant municipality as part of the project scope. We manage the permit process from application to approval — production does not begin until permits are in hand.
Professional Installation
Our installation crew handles all sign types — exterior mounting, electrical connection by licensed electricians, graphic application, and interior dimensional sign installation. Completion documentation provided on every project.
